Announcing Dired 7.17 ===================== This is to announce the release of Dired 7.17, a file manager that runs within Emacs. Notable changes over Dired 7.16: - Dired now works on SELinux systems (such as FC 11) where ls displays a marker for a security context. Notable changes over Dired 7.15: - A bug that sometimes prevented Dired from correctly parsing directory listings was fixed. - The "-h" switch to "ls" is now supported. - The coding-system features are loaded when coding systems are supported, not just on MULE Emacsen. Notable changes over Dired 7.14: - Is able to deal with extended-attribute character in ls listings on Mac OS X Leopard. Notable changes over Dired 7.13: - Improved compatibility with older versions Of XEmacs - Better quoting when running shell programs. - Recursive copying works in EFS-managed directories. - The locale used when calling ls is now customizable via the `dired-ls-locale' variable.
